Born: Detroit, MI // BFA: The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC)2013 // Freshly rooted in Minneapolis, MN

Nature-exploring, travel-loving, coffee-slamming photographer who believes in taking chances.

Hi, I’m Christie. I’ve been taking photos since age 6 when my grandparents let me borrow their Polaroid camera to photograph their pet peacock.  I was instantly hooked and pursued photography from then on!  I earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013 and have been shooting professionally ever since. In 2017 I moved to the desert in search of a fresh landscape.  A lover of the outdoors, I filled my time with camping, hiking, cliff jumping, and falling in love with every roadrunner and cactus I saw—but a Midwesterner at heart, I missed the snow and moved to Minneapolis a year later. I had never set foot in the cities before moving here, and am having fun exploring all the new scenery and how it changes through the seasons.  I’m a big believer in choosing experiences over objects and as such, am an avid memory hoarder. I guess that’s part of what I love about photography: being able to have a visual cue to remember all the adventures that have been shared.

I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing teams, including: Poler, Duluth Pack, Hipcamp, The Parks Apparel, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Tesla, Google, Zagat, Nestle, Cozymeal

Currently learning: how to skateboard in the summer, and snowboard in the winter.

Let's get coffee soon:
